Meet the Team

Our team shares a practical approach to residential roof repair: understand the problem, explain the options, and agree on a sensible scope before work begins. Each person brings a different perspective to customer communication, repair planning, and day-to-day work. We work with homeowners across Oakville and nearby communities while keeping safety, workmanship, and clear expectations at the centre of the process.

The People You Will Work With

Daniel Mercer

Founder and Roofing Repair Lead

Daniel founded Roofing Repair Oakville after years of learning residential repair work from experienced tradespeople in the western Greater Toronto Area. He enjoys tracing a leak to its likely source and explaining the findings in plain language, and he spends some weekends walking Oakville's trails with his family. Daniel leads the company's repair-first approach and works to make sure homeowners understand the scope and reasoning behind proposed work.

Michael Bennett

Roof Repair Technician

Michael brings a methodical approach to examining shingles, roof transitions, flashing, and other areas where moisture can enter. Raised in the Halton area, he has a longstanding interest in hands-on projects and enjoys woodworking in his spare time. He focuses on careful preparation, appropriate material handling, and identifying details that may affect the durability of a repair.

Sarah Thompson

Customer Coordination and Scheduling

Sarah helps homeowners communicate their concerns, organize property information, and understand the next steps in the repair process. She has lived in the broader Halton community for years and enjoys visiting local farmers' markets and community events. Her role centres on clear communication, realistic scheduling, and helping customers know what information to have ready before an assessment.

How We Work Together

We start by listening to the homeowner's description of the problem. When someone reports a leak, we ask where the water appears, when it occurs, whether it follows rain or snow, and whether any damage is visible from a safe location. These details help us understand the situation before discussing an assessment. We also consider the property location, roofing material if known, and whether there are immediate safety concerns.

Once the relevant roof areas have been assessed as conditions allow, we explain the likely cause, proposed repair, and factors that may affect the work. We aim to agree on a clear scope and communicate any important uncertainty, including concealed damage or weather-related restrictions. If additional work becomes necessary, we discuss the issue and the implications before changing the agreed scope where practical. Our objective is to leave homeowners better informed about the repair and the condition of their roof.
